Only the strongest of the species will survive and move on into the next stage of evolution. As researchers we look to observe and identify these specimens. In 2009 our research will take us to Black Rock City, Nevada where we will be studying 'Burners' in their home habitat. We will then be able to identify the chosen ones...the best of the bunch. These are the subjects that shall move the species forward for they are the Naturally Selected best of the best.

We must find them. We must label them.

MISSION STATEMENT - Our camp named Camp Natural Slection will be giving out 'Best Of' awards to people on the playa. These will be 3" by 5" laminates for people to wear around their necks.

These awards will be given to our visitors who stand out in a certain field. things like: 'Best Tattoos', Best Boots', 'Best Sunburn', 'Biggest Foot Blisters', 'Best Boobies', 'Oldest Shirt-Cocker', etc.

And the list goes on. We plan on giving out roughly 5000 awards to the citizens of Black Rock City.

How will these people get these awards? Well that is the fun part. They gotta prove that they deserve it. By interacting with us. Say one woman would like an award for 'Best Boots on the Playa' and another woman says her boots are better...we must judge them! Either on our own or as the whole group of 'Scientists' in the camp. This could lead to great interaction with folks 'competing' for the 'best of' awards.

The awards range from the very raunchy to the very vanilla....that way pretty much anyone can get an award for something!!! We are not exclusionary. You will get some type of award! We also reserve the right to dupicate awards. Some awards shall be bestowed upon citizens freely...others will have to earn them.

Our camp will only be giving out awards for a few hours a day in the camp...'Researchers' may take awards with them as they travel the playa and judge folks out there as well. It is going to be a fantastic year! We are going to find the best of everything!!!
